  • Reclamation: This area processes all non-food and non-perishable items, ensuring they’re sorted, organized, and ready for distribution. Volunteers prepare canned and boxed foods, day bags for the homeless, weekend snack sacks, hygiene kits, and emergency baby or adult care bags.

Cold & Frozen Processing: Volunteers in this station handle all perishable items, performing quality checks and sorting fresh produce, dairy, raw meats, and prepared meals. These items are then prepped for cold storage or placed on the distribution line.

Line Area: This is where client boxes are built and packed. Volunteers load all processed food and essential items into boxes to ensure families receive complete, nutritious selections.

Bread Station: This station sorts and prepares all breads, pastries, sweet, and salty baked goods for clients. Volunteers help ensure quality and variety for daily distribution.

Dock: Dock volunteers support the flow of incoming and outgoing deliveries, assisting with unloading, staging, and maintaining a clean, organized dock area.

Runners: Runners help load completed client boxes into vehicles, offering friendly service and ensuring a smooth, efficient pickup process.

These stations may require heavy lifting and prolonged standing.

Data Entry & Filing: Volunteers manage digital and physical records, entering new client information, updating services received, and supporting overall statistical reporting.

Volunteer Assistance: This team handles time sheet processing, new volunteer applications, scheduling, and tracking volunteer credit hours. It’s a great role for those who enjoy organization and helping others succeed.
