Coronavirus Farmers Assistance Program (CFAP)

USDA recently launched the Coronavirus Farmers Assistance Program (CFAP) in which they committed to buy $1.2 Billion of food with the goal of helping U.S. farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic. All Faith Community Services in partnership with St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance will be a recipient of these CFAP boxes. All boxes will be prepacked and contain the following items:

• Dairy (cheese, milk, yogurt, butter)

• Produce (fresh vegetables and/or fruit such as potatoes, onions, carrots, apples, pears, oranges, blueberries, strawberries, tomatoes, sweet potatoes)

• Meat (precooked pork and chicken such as chicken nuggets, bacon, pork patties, pork or chicken taco filling)

• Combination (of all of the above)

The food from this program will be available on a month- to-month basis.
